It is getting decidedly sandal wearing weather-y down south and when I tried on a pair, I gasped. I GASPED. Despite having just had a pedicure, my heels were looking ROUGH, friends. Dry, flakey and just gross. (You’re welcome.)
These are the four products I used to get them whipped back into shape within a few days. Starting from the top!

This is what I call the big guns. Used in the shower with a bit of shower gel, I used the rough side first then switched to the finer grit. This will get off the bulk of dry skin and callouses, but go gentle and error on the side of caution. Depending on how bad your heels are you may need to use this over the course of days or weeks (it’s all good!) Link

This scrub is great for your whole body too but I love it on my feet after I use the pumice. It whisks away dead skin and moisturizes at the same time. Link

But wait, there’s more! After you use the pumice and the scrub at first you may have some pieces of skin that won’t budge. These foot files have a course side and a smoother side and I use both to get the last bits off my heels. These files are also perfect for maintenance, so now when I get out of the shower a few times a week I run these over my heels so they continue to stay soft and smooth. Link

And then there is this shea butter. It is thick, but absorbs well and I LOVE it for my heels at night. I slip on a pair of socks for a bit after I put it on and wake up the next morning to soft pretty feet. Link
It’s time to don those pretty dresses and sandals!
Awesome plan! If you find you have some really troublesome spots the Revlon Wet/Dry foot file is amazing! I got it at Walmart and it goes through dead skin like a hot knife through butter. Living in an area where winter is six months of the year means feet can take a beating. Possibly because they are smothered in wool socks lol. Love your blog and stay cozy! PS we are having a snow storm today….ugh
Oooh good tip, thank you! Stay warm up there! And thank you for your support <3
