I have signed up for so many subscription boxes. Like, so soooo many subscription boxes. The foodie ones. The clothes ones. A lipstick one. The dinner ones. A gardening one. More clothes ones. But to date, only two subscription boxes have stuck. Book of the Month and Bark Box. I look forward to them every month for very different reasons!
Book of the Month
Growing up we had Book of the Month books lined up in bookshelves in our living room. BOTM has been around for a LONG time. I’ve been a member for years and appreciate the early access to new releases and diversity in both authors and genre. For $14.99 a month you get one hardcover book out of their curated list of five new books. I always end up choosing something I wouldn’t have picked for myself. Or, you can choose from prior books. If you’d rather skip a month it’s easy to do and your credit hangs out until you’re ready. You can add up to two additional books to your order for $9.99 each and when you reach a certain level of membership you get free books on your birthday and at the end of the year when they’re picking reader favorites. It’s something I look forward to at the first of every month. Sign up here.
Bark Box
We got the dogs a Bark Box subscription for Christmas one year and I think I love it as much as they do! Every month you receive a box with two toys , two treat bags and a chewy stick for $23. We’ve taken to calling these particular treats “Scooby Snacks” and the dogs come RUNNING any time we ask if they want one. This month’s box was a “Barkfest in Bed” theme and came complete with a stuffed egg, “Sploot Loops” cereal box, and orange juice toy with an orange tennis ball. I’m a sucker for branding and love seeing how creative the boxes are every month. Right now you’re able to get a free extra toy each month when you sign up for multi-month subscription. Sign up here.
Both subscription boxes make great gifts and are so much fun to receive every month!
I pay for my monthly subscriptions and love them. The links above are affiliate links where I get credits if you sign up at no extra cost to you!
