Last week I wrote about what finally helped my rosacea and this week I’m spilling my secrets on the other products I use to target my biggest goal–aging gracefully. When I tell people I’m in my mid 40s I get a lot of “wait, what?!” “I thought you were in your early 30s!” “No way!” or “Really?!” I am grateful and attribute it to both what I can’t control (genes) and what I can control–exposure to sun and a skincare routine I’ve had for decades.
Before I started having trouble with rosacea, I was an extremely loyal user of Clinique. I started religiously using Clinque in college and the line grew with me into my early 40s. I tried using their sensitive skincare line when my skin changed and was crushed when my go-to no longer did what I needed it to. That said, much of what I learned with Clinique I still use. It’s a combination of a once a week mask for moisture and twice a week exfoliating to help with texture. I now find Dermalogica products get me the results I’m looking for.
I walked you through my daily skincare last week and here is how I use the following two additional products:
Weekly Mask

On Sundays I use one of the tiny Tinkle Razors to remove any stray hairs and peach fuzz on my face before lathering on Dermalogica’s Moisturizing mask. I use a warm washcloth to wipe it off and its one of most soothing, hydrating parts of my week! My skin feels so soft afterwards.
Twice a Week Exfoliation
Consistent exfoliation has helped my skin’s texture so much over the years. Not only does exfoliating help with smoothing out skin, it takes the layers of dead skin off and allows products to work more effectively. This Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is gentle and you mix it with water to a consistency that works for you. After you rub your face gently for one minute, you rinse off with warm water and follow up with your products. I use this on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
