Are You a Slow-Getter?

You love flowers.

From anywhere–a far flung field, a grocery store display, or better yet a vase at home. You can (and do!) buy yourself flowers.

You plan your next little treat while having a little treat.

Swirling ice in a cold brew. The perfectly plated pastry next to a heart topped latte. Champagne bubbles on your nose or perfectly painted toes. Why even have a “to do” list if you don’t get a little treat after crossing something off?

Your life has a soundtrack.

Songs that match the moment or take you back, music that makes you roll down car windows and turn a water bottle into a microphone, your perfect playlist is always in the background.

You savor friendship.

You hold each other tight no matter the distance. Group texts, laughter that makes your stomach hurt, charcuterie board chats, every moment together is a celebration.

Candlelight is everything.

A bath, when you’re done with the dishes, writing in a journal, or reading. It’s not an event until the candle is lit.

Curling up with a book is your happy place.

Periodt.

You’re enthusiastic.

Good hair days, “I feel cute days,” a morning where you catch the sunrise, or a night where you exhale watching the sun set. Everyday moments mean something.

You love.

You choose love daily. Because you believe, despite all evidence to the contrary, that happily ever after not only exists, but that it’s here right now. Inside jokes, finishing each others sentences, and the peace that comes from being seen and supported for the whole-hearted person you are.

Romantic or otherwise, love is here.

I write romantic comedies about go-getters slowing down and following their hearts.
