If you’re looking for a show that is funny and heartwarming, I highly recommend Ted Lasso on Apple TV. Jason Sudeikis plays Ted Lasso, an American college football coach who moves to London to coach a fictional soccer team, AFC Richmond. The only problem is, he has zero knowledge or experience coaching soccer.
I too have zero knowledge of soccer and didn’t think the show would capture my interest as strongly as it did. I could tell Stephen was skeptical too but every single night we looked at each other multiple times and said “this show is SO CUTE!” The characters all have such great chemistry and I was thrilled to hear Ted Lasso has been renewed and Jason Sudeikis just won a Golden Globe for the role. Ted Lasso is funny, will make you tear up and ultimately root for everyone, including soccer which you never thought you’d care about.
